Natalia Bonilla’s Portfolio

…because when you start to record your life a bit more, you start to appreciate it in all of its forms.

Holding a camera has drawn me in, ESPECIALLY in my 20s. Capturing a moment that, without it, would be left in the past.

When you take a shot, you’ve basically time-traveled backwards. Where would we be without them? All we’ve ever had to go by are someone’s words or a snapshot of time.

In my opinion, you really start figuring out what you like to do when your phone isn’t present. Photo and video storytelling has been my hobby turned livelihood.

It’s really what I love to put all my energy into. And that is what this is—a showcase of the wayyy beginning of when creativity sparked, all the way to what I’m up to now.

I look back at the videos of my younger brother when he was about nine, smiling at the camera—probably listening to Eminem. Photo and videography just make sense to me. It’s what brings a story to life.
